Cumnor Hill

The leafy suburb of Cumnor Hill just to the west of the city centre is one of the city’s prime residential locations.

Communications

Oxford and Didcot railway stations providing services for the commuter to London Paddington in approximately 55 and 45 minutes respectively. In addition the A34 is close by with connections to junction 9 of the M40 and junction 13 of the M4, as well as the A420 to Swindon and Bristol.

There are regular bus services to Oxford and Abingdon from Cumnor Hill and Oxford Airport is approximately 15 minutes drive away for private flights.

Schooling

Within the immediate area there are a superb range of private and state schooling facilities including the European School at Culham, the Manor Preparatory School, Cothill House, Chandlings Manor, Josca’s, The School of St Helen’s and St Katharine, Our Lady’s Convent Senior School, Abingdon School, Headington School, St Edwards, Oxford High School, the Dragon, Magdalen College, New College School and Radley College. Directions

Travelling south on the A34, follow the sign for Botley. After leaving the A34 at the Botley roundabout take the first exit and drive towards oxford, keep in the right-hand lane. At the T-junction and traffic lights, turn right and travel straight ahead towards Cumnor Hill. Hids Copse Road is a turning on the right-hand side, approximately half way up Cumnor Hill. Take the turning for Hids Copse Road, travel forwards bearing right at the T-junction – Cobden House is directly on your right.
